Silent Spaces

Growing up outside of the city, I spent much of my youth exploring the buildings and streets of Detroit, MI. I was constantly told stories of the automobile industry, the riots of 1967, Motown and the effects these things had on the city and its people.

Years later, after I had left, I became compelled to return to the places and spaces where I had previously spent so much time. These images represent a work in progress documenting the city in all its forms.
